supPORT 4 GSU

Welcome GSU

As we reflect back on our experiences when we first entered our graduate programs, we remember the unique challenges we faced. From “adulting” to navigating the balance between academics, employment and social commitments it’s easy to become overwhelmed. This is why it was important to us to offer special access to the services provided at PORT Counseling to the counseling students at GSU.

In line with our mission to make quality mental health care more accessible, we are offering the ability to engage in some of our services at a discounted rate for those who cannot use insurance.

Thank you for your trust in supPORTing you with your mental health as you pursue a career helping others with theirs.

We Accept Most Insurances

We currently have clinicians that accept Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Oscar, Oxford, & United Health Care.

While we don’t every take insurance, you may opt to use Out-of-Network Benefits to cover at least a portion of your therapy.

Not sure if you have Out-of-Network Benefits?

We work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year. You can sign up using this link.

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and we do not benefit in any way from your participation.

Other Options for Payment

It is important to us that finances do not present a barrier to one receiving therapy. This is why we accept insurance, offer services at a certain rate for certain populations, facilitate groups, etc.

If you would like to work with one of our therapists but our reduced rate is out of your budget, the Loveland Foundation has a therapy fund that provides vouchers you can use to cover the cost of your services. Click the link in order to learn more about how to qualify.
