Relationship Boundaries w/Teens
Through age-appropriate interventions, I help adolescents (ages 13+) learn to assert their needs, communicate effectively, and cultivate healthy relationships with peers, family members, and authority figures.
Together, we work through themes including:
Boundaries: I empower them to recognize their worth and assert boundaries that honor their values and preferences. Through experiential activities, role-playing exercises, and open dialogue, adolescents develop assertiveness skills and gain confidence in expressing themselves authentically.
Building Healthy Relationships: I help guide my the teens I work with in building healthy relationships based on mutual respect, trust, and clear communication. By exploring concepts of consent, empathy, and conflict resolution, adolescents learn to navigate peer relationships and establish boundaries that foster positive connections.
Addressing Peer Pressure and Social Norms: I provide support to teens navigating peer pressure and societal expectations, helping them set boundaries that align with their personal values and goals. Through psycho-education and role modeling, adolescents develop resilience and assertiveness in peer interactions.

My Therapy Approaches
My Background
I bring a rich blend of academic training, specialized certifications, and a deep passion for helping individuals, couples, and families create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and the dynamics that shape our connections with others. Wanting to dive deeper into the complexities of relationships, I pursued a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University. This advanced training equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of how family systems work, how our past experiences influence our present, and how to foster healing within all types of relationships.
Beyond my academic background, I am a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator, which allows me to guide couples through personalized assessments to strengthen their relationship’s foundation, whether they’re just starting out or have been together for decades. I am also trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1), a highly respected, research-based approach that helps couples improve communication, build trust, and deepen emotional connection. My commitment to ongoing education means I am always learning new ways to support my clients more effectively, staying current with the latest research and techniques to provide you with the most effective tools for growth.
What truly drives me, though, is my dedication to making therapy accessible and meaningful for every person I work with. I am especially passionate about serving the BIPOC community, understanding the unique cultural nuances and challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds. I strive to create a therapeutic space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered to rewrite your story, embrace your true self, and build the relationships you deserve.
