Parenting SupPORT: a non-negotiable

Parenting has always changed from generation to generation; However, parents and caregivers today are faced with a unique combination of choices that were nearly impossible to prepare for.

With our parenting challenge, we aim to help you elevate the village you have cultivated to support you on your parenting/caregiving journey. We consider participation in this community an act of self-care. A judgement free space to receive expert advice, peer support, share wins, and have access to other resources.

This 4 Week Challenge is for parents and caregivers who:

  • Take part in raising Elementary or High School aged children

  • Recognize that prioritizing ourselves ultimately helps our kids

  • Are searching for new self-care and parenting skills to use immediately

  • Have an open mind and willingness to learn

  • Can take part in this community via a private Facebook group.

Members of the community likely experience trouble with:

  • Time management

  • Shifting away from parenting styles you experienced while growing up

  • Communication of feelings/ thoughts

  • Navigating their child’s use of social media

  • Informing or responding to questions about (co)parenting after divorce

  • Knowing WHEN it’s developmentally appropriate and HOW to talk about current events

  • Finding balance between parenting/ personal life

The Parenting Challenge Community: What’s Included?

  • Receive live parenting advice on Facebook

    Live Advice

There will be a Facebook Live held in the private group biweekly, on topics selected by our experts and founding members.

If you are able to attend the Live, you will be able to ask questions to be addressed in real time with follow up questions and feedback

. For those of you who have a tight schedule, we also have you covered. Group members will have access to the video. Founding members who cannot attend live will be given priority in submitting questions for our experts to answer.

Follow up assignments will be given at the end of these sessions.

  • Receive parenting support from other parents

    Peer Support

The most valuable component to our community is you. Yes, YOU!

The questions you ask, the feedback and experiences you share with your peers is a foundational element of what you get out of the community of support.

Alternating with the weeks of Live Advice, we will be facilitating a Peer Support Q&A that also takes place on a Facebook Live within the community.

Members are encouraged to submit their questions beforehand if possible, and our experts and your peers will provide feedback, encouragement and resources live and within the chat.

  • Access parenting resources from parenting coaches, experts, and other parents

    Other Resources

As a member of our community, you will have access to actual resources like: recommended books, articles, programs, events, etc. curated by us and other members.

Additionally, you yourself will serve as a resource to your peers through posing questions and answers to the feed, and using hashtags to allow for easy searching later.

  • Receive our introductory rate for our online, self paced parenting support group

    Founding Member

Joining the community between now and October 1, 2022 will establish you as a founding member. This gives you the ability to:

Meet Your Parenting Coach

I am an Associate Licensed Professional Counselor, Parenting Coach and most importantly, a proud parent of the most awesome teenager.

My Advice:

If you plan to join The Parenting Challenge, encourage you to let yourself make mistakes and not beat yourself up about the things you haven’t learned - YET! Look for the lesson in every situation and recognize that parenting is not limited to a “one size fits all” approach. Allow this community to assist. Shying away from asking for help leads to the group, you and your child/children, to miss out.

FAQs

How Long Is The Challenge?

This particular challenge will last for 4 weeks starting Wednesday October 5th and ending on Wednesday October 26.

Prior to the October 5th live launch, there will still be community engagement in the form of short pre-recorded videos, introductions, etc.

When will the facebook Lives be Held?

Wednesday nights at 7pm EST from October 5th - 26th.

How Do I Claim My Free Tumbler?

When purchasing your Parenting Challenge membership, you will be prompted to select your free tumbler and provide the address you would like it sent to.

Do I have to Have my Camera on?

As parents, we know that parents and caregivers can struggle with maintaining time for themselves. There are so many competing needs with our family and work responsibilities, we designed this community with that in mind.

While having your camera on is preferred, if you need to have your camera off one week in order to participate, go for it!

What If I can’t attend all the live Facebook events?

If you are unable to participate in all (or any) of the live events, that is okay. You can still look back at the recordings and engage in the community during the days and times that work for you.

Can Markerra or any other group admin be my therapist?

Due to ethical concerns of having a duel relationship, Markerra or any other admin you interact with in the group cannot serve as your therapist. If you would like to pursue a coaching relationship with Markerra or community admins, you may do so as long as it is strictly a coaching relationship (i.e. no treatment of a mental health disorder is given).

What is Your Refund Policy?

We don’t offer refunds.
